• EAST SUSSEX

The vision and concept for this annexe had already been developed by the client and their Architect. Planning had been approved however progress to the build stage was taking longer than anticipated.

Looking for a pragmatic and dynamic solution, Red Square were initially engaged to develop the planning drawings into a working set of construction drawings. As the process evolved so did Red Square's scope.

Our deep understanding of construction, design and old buildings proved invaluable. Working with the client and their main contractor Red Square ensured a smooth and efficient build, providing the contractor with quick solutions as well foreseeing any potential problems.

A few highlights is the oak framed construction, the buildings passive status, air source heat up for heating and hot water, clay tiles made from the soil removed for the foundations and the 18 kw log burner - which also heats the water.
